RIGHT NOW I am sitting by the stage where Joey Ramone has wrapped his tall languorous body and his long long hands around the microphone to deliver 'The Blitzkreig Bop'. The audience sits straight up in their chairs. "1, 2, 3, 4!" No smiling, no amiable jamming, no cute '50s nostalgia. It's more like sitting underneath Niagara Falls.
