The Police's Sting considers a new career

PHILADELPHIA — DEEP in the bright yellow innards of Philadelphia's Spectrum Arena, the reluctant rock god known as Sting eyes a dressing room crowded with his fellow Police, three horn players, a few journalists and a handful of crew members. They seem bored, so Sting snatches up his futuristically stark Steinberger bass, leaps to a spraddle-legged stance on a wooden bench and sprays the bunch with imaginary gunfire, comic-book style. He then skips across the top of a couch, hops on another bench and elaborately bayonets trumpeter Marvin Daniels in the back.
