The Ohio Players

John Abbey, Blues & Soul, 25 August 1972

THE OHIO Players started life a decade ago as the Ohio Untouchables and their first real claim to fame is that they were featured vocalists behind Wilson Pickett on 'I Found A Love', whilst he was lead singer with the Falcons. This lead to the quintet being signed to the Detroit based Lu Pine label. The original quintet consisted of Andrew Noland, Ralph Middlebrook, Marshall Jones, Leroy Bonner and Greg Webster, all of whom came from Dayton in Ohio, where they formed their group, originally called simply the Untouchables.
