OVER THE past three years, Ray Davies and the Kinks have acquired a reputation for drunkenly inept live performances. But their appearance at the Felt Forum last Thursday made up for all that. Six months of painstaking rehearsals have changed them from the stumbling English music hall pit band heard on the live half of their latest album, Everybody's in Showbiz, back into the ass-shaking rock 'n' rollers they were at the beginning of their career.
