THE ISLEY Brothers — Rudolph, Ronnie and O'Kelly Jr., but chiefly Rudolph — put the high-pitched, train noise OOOOHHHH into British pop music. The importance of this OOOOHHHH cannot be underestimated for it became the trade-mark of the British Rock 'n' Roll Revival (or Mersey Sound) in the year 1962.
