The Eagles: The Long Run (Asylum)

Mark Williams, Melody Maker, 29 September 1979

I cannot, and will not, shift my allegiances from an underrated or up-and-coming band when their bread and butter turns to cake just because it's unfashionable to acclaim stars. To me, the only logical reasons to desert an act you previously admired is when their music starts to lose its originality or they get lazy and complacent.
