The Doors: L.A. Woman (Elektra)

Hugh Nolan, International Times, 26 August 1971

TITLE TRACK sounds like a typical Ballard fantasy — 'Woman viewed as linear plan of the City' or something — a beautifully imperceptible change from a trucking, easy-rocking 'Ridin' down your freeway' to suddenly 'Got ma mojo risin'/Mr Mojo rising' raucously up the centre of the city.
