It was a different New York they returned to this time, and the underground they remembered seemed almost as remote as the subways in which they would never have to ride again. The Doors in New York – as told by Danny Fields, who is publicity director of Elektra, their record company, and photographed by David Hoff. Both are old friends and early fans of the group.
