THE CURE are probably the world's biggest cult band. Alone of all the British bands born of punk, they've attained huge success without drastically watering down what they do. They've sold over eight million albums to date, the bulk after their US breakthrough with 1989's Disintegration and the "best of" compilation Standing On The Beach. Now they're embarking on the British leg of their world tour, after another highly successful album, Wish.
