LIKE DICTAPHONE-WIELDING Dorothys reporting back the news that, actually, the Wizard was just, like, this bloke, the Chemical Brothers' interviewers still struggle to contain their surprise at what they find when they meet the venerable breakbeat pharmacists. How odd that Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons should seek to create such a strong sense of lysergic ascent and, yet, be relatively abstemious in their own lives. The Chemicals' seventh album might prompt you to ask the question again — not least on the thundering machine jolts of 'Horse Power' and the sun-dazed whiteout of 'Snow'— but the answer?
