KIM DEAL of the Breeders is the anti-Madonna (and Madonna is the postmod Charo) She's so unpretentious, so lacking in showbiz guile, so kid-sisterly And yet to us low-rent bohos she's sexy as hell. Dressed in a man's white shirt and white jeans, at the El Rey she literally beamed onstage. Hyper and smiling from the beginning of the set to the end, she was obviously having as great a time as her adoring audience was out in the pogo pit (no moshing at this show).
