THERE SEEMS to be a definite increase of interest among young Black and Third World musicians, who are either not technically equipped or deeply enough rooted in jazz; and too ambitious or disillusioned for traditional R&B, to attempt to establish a form which borrows from everything around it, without falling into any of the clichés dominant in a particular genre.
