Tangled Up in Blues: John Renbourn & Dorris Henderson – the '60s

BY THE TIME of his fourth solo album, The Lady and the Unicorn (1970), John Renbourn was living in a thatched cottage in Hampshire and, as a Disc interviewer put it, was "a friendly, rather gauche soul who still can't quite get over the universal appeal [his group] Pentangle has". Indeed, as John remarked to that writer, "I'm always amazed that the records are reviewed and at the fact that I'm being interviewed. I'm always amazed to see I've got 'musician' on my passport."
