"IT JUST ISN'T fun anymore." With those cursory words on Saint Valentine's Day, 1972, John Kaye and the other members of Steppenwolf parted company – forever. The dissolving band, that had howled together for five years, left behind them a legacy of nine albums, seven of them certified gold, and two million selling singles, 'Born To Be Wild' and 'Magic Carpet Ride'. But Steppenwolf was finished.
