Stanley Clarke: Return to Love (Nemperor Records)

Lita Eliscu, Phonograph Record, October 1975

In Jazz, however, where the bass often is the rhythm, both audible and undercurrent, there are many more names. Now along comes Stanley Clarke, whose background and music both present a fusion of the two sources; a very potent, even thrilling fusion.
