Skye | Ross

David Burke, Classic Pop, October 2016

Morcheeba, helmed by Paul Godfrey's immaculate production, Skye Edwards' ethereal vocals and Ross Godfrey's luminous guitar, mapped out their own singular sonic territory in the late '90s, fusing a folk-pop sensibility with mesmeric trip-hop rhythms on Big Calm and Fragments of Freedom. With Paul relinquishing his role in the band, Skye and Ross have ditched the Morcheeba moniker and morphed into Skye|Ross. David Burke spoke to them both on the release of their eponymously-titled debut as a duo.
