Secret Affair: Behind Closed Doors (I Spy 2)

Jim Green, Trouser Press, February 1981

SECRET AFFAIR has a knack for getting up people's noses. Those you'd expect to be sympathetic to the band's aims react to their name with a snort of disgust. Others — myself included — who find value in much of the band's output can't ignore the annoying aspects as well. Perhaps it's the Affair's aura of self-importance that sticks in the craw, especially when the band doesn't quite deliver the goods.
