Royal Trux: Garage, London

Stevie Chick, Melody Maker, 23 May 1998

TONIGHT, EVERYONE wants to be a cowboy, a hustler, a rock'n'roll star. There's an accentuated swagger to the crowd; drinks are ordered and ferried with an extra borrowed confidence; folk leave the bathrooms red-eyed, rubbing their noses with a luxurious, exhibitionist intent. You can feel it, everybody here wants to be Royal Trux. Or who they perceive them to be, at least.
