Rickie Lee Jones: Songs From a Bohemian Past

Geoffrey Himes, Baltimore Sun, 10 August 1982

RICKIE LEE Jones appeared out of nowhere in 1979 with a stunning self-titled debut album. She sounded more like a 1952 Harlem jazz singer than a contemporary California singer-songwriter.
