1991, and PUBLIC ENEMY — purveyors of The Noise — are busy flexing their new, improved mainstream muscle. Fresh from 'that' Anthrax collaboration, Chuck 'n' Flav are guesting on US satirical institution Saturday Night Live to plug a new album, Apocalypse '91 The Enemy Strikes Black! that still educates as it purees the earwax. JAMES BROWN met Chuck D in New York and, surprisingly, found a man more at home in the countryside than the fetid hole of Hell's Kitchen.
