Prince: The Land of Paisley
Mark Petracca, Creem, January 1993
As I reach the threshold of the mighty warrior, i feel a shudder pass through me. My self-worth is at stake. My shoes are too tight. My jeans have lost their sheen. What will he think of me? I click my Beatle boots three times. The stained glass door with a purple dove in mid-flight slowly opens as dry ice pours out and envelops me. I go up the magical steps that reach to the door of the Purple Cloud Castle.
