Peter Gabriel

Caroline Coon, Sounds, 24 June 1978

THIS BLOKE stands menacingly in the entrance to Bath Spa Station. "Hmm," I muse to myself, taking note of his close crop, "a West Country Skinhead." The cropped one, unfolding his arms, starts in my direction. He looks fierce. Feeling a trifle vulnerable, it strikes me that the perfect moment has arrived for Peter Gabriel to materialise, introduce himself and deliver me to the shelter of his car.
