Paul Revere & the Raiders: An American Dream

Vivien Goldman, Let It Rock, June 1975

"WHILE STILL in his teens Paul Revere was running a drive-in theatre and two barbershops in Boise, Idaho. One night while listening to a combo in a teenage dance club he was asked to sit in on piano – and ended up leading the group. Later, he invited his friend Mark Lindsay to join him as lead vocalist. Since forming a group, they have been playing at packed dances all over the country. And long after a dance is scheduled to be over they are still jumping..." (liner note, anon, from Here They Come 1965).
