"THE WEEKEND starts here," beamed a well-preserved Paul McCartney, surveying the friendly crowd at London's Docklands Arena one dank Friday night in February. Say what you will about the variable quality of the former Beatle's solo output, but the man sure can put on a show. Cramming nearly two dozen tunes into 90 brisk minutes, Paul and a punchy ensemble did some old favorites proud and added an extra zing to the best songs from his new Off the Ground LP.
