Patti Smith: A Rocker Determined To Do It All

Dave Marsh, Newsday, 20 April 1975

PATTI SMITH, the reformed poet, playwright and songwriter, learned to sing sometime last year. In addition, she is the first woman rocker with the ambition to do it all, the way that Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan did.
