Outside promoters lessen King's role in Jacksons' summer tour

DUE TO growing dissatisfaction with Don King, Michael Jackson and his five brothers have brought in two music-business veterans to promote their upcoming tour. Frank Russo, a New England-based concert promoter, and Danny O'Donovan, who has promoted previous Jacksons tours in Europe, Australia, Japan and South America, were signed on by the band in early April. They will oversee all aspects of the groups three-month tour, which will include forty shows in fourteen cities.
