FOR SEVERAL weeks there had been rumbling and muttering noises suggesting that all was not well with Lindisfarne. It was Alan Hull in a careless, unguarded moment, who finally gave credence to the illegitimate whisperings, and last week the music press got out its Sunday type-faces to break the news.
