Neil Young: Zuma (Warner Brothers)*****

Barbara Charone, Sounds, 29 November 1975

YOUNG'S NEWLY gained independence, following his split with his old lady, actress Carrie Snodgrass, seems to have had quite a positive effect on his work. Much like Dylan's Blood On The Tracks, Zuma finds the author in an emotional state; he is both vindictive and forgiving, hardened but sensitive, wiser but still naive.
