Neil Young Charts His Own Course

Pete Johnson, Los Angeles Times, 28 October 1968

"MAYBE SOME group will come along and be big, you know, but who cares," Neil Young says in his slow country way. "It's just happened so many times now, it's like a 1969 car. Who cares? We all know it's not going to be any better than a '68 car. It may look a little different but it's the same thing. As far as single artists making it, I just think it would be different. I don't know if it would be any better, but at least it would be different."
