My old mate…Mick the Monster

KEITH ALTHAM'S unique association with Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones has been established over 30 years. As a journalist and broadcaster he completed more than 50 interviews with the group during the '60s and '70s, before becoming their Press agent for several years in the '80s.Six months ago, Altham decided to concentrate on writing projects — including a book on The Unknown Rolling Stone, about his close friend Ian Stewart who founded the group and died four years ago. Here, Altham gives a new perspective on Jagger, the rock phenomenon who is 50 on Monday.
