NEW ORLEANS — It's midafternoon as the limousine containing the Ohio Players is swallowed up by the giant, saucerlike shell known as the Louisiana Superdome, the latest eighth wonder of the world. And it's a wonder of a different kind that the Players, scheduled to play tonight with the Jackson 5, the Commodores, Kool & the Gang and the Four Tops, are here at all.
