Meet the Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus

Alan Walsh, Melody Maker, 21 December 1968

"SINGALONG, DANCE-along music with no deep meaning — that's what the Singing Orchestral Circus is all about," said one of the two men who created the sound — Jeffery Katz. Jeff, with his partner Jerry Kasenetz, is responsible for 'Quick Joey Small', the catchy, insistently infectious record which hit the MM's Pop 30 last week. Kasenetz and Katz are record producers and group managers in New York where their brand of music, dubbed bubblegum music, is currently well in vogue.
