ON THEIR SECOND album, McGuinness Flint have sunk into a mire of vapid eclecticism rather than develop a unified style. Meaning this: rather than be content with the oldest soft-rock formula in the book, that of alternating lovely ballads with catchy rockers, McGuinness Flint has decided to try and show a proficiency at every Easy Listening rock style extant. It doesn't work.
