Marking Time with Funkadelic — an interview with George Clinton

Vernon Gibbs, Soul Sounds, July 1973

THERE IS a hard core of demented maniacs who force their way into people's apartments, with wild looks in their eyes. Usually they can be discovered to have a definite reason for their mania. On careful inspection the terrified resident of the a ready described apartment, after deciphering the incoherent babble coming from the direction of the invader, will notice a square object in his hand. If the resident is lucky, he will find himself in the presence of a mere Funkadelic freak who, having just secured his copy of the latest Funkadelic album, was unable to control himself until he reached his own cloister and simply had to invade the first place he saw with a working stereo.
