ON A MONDAY morning so dark from thundery rainclouds it seems as though the sky has fallen in, Graham 'Suggs' McPherson, shoe-less and wearing only a black t-shirt and faded jeans, sits on a canary yellow patterned armchair in the chaotic living-room of the modest Camden mews cottage in which he lives with the singer Bette Bright – or Anne, as he knows his wife.
