Lone Star: Lone Star's State

Harry Doherty, Melody Maker, 27 November 1976

THIS MUST MEAN something. Driving home last week-end, I flicked on the radio, to the Alan Freeman Show, and was greeted by a piece of energetic rock. It was a song I'd never heard before but the sound was familiar. The harmony vocals belting out "Well, well, well" over and over gave me the clue. Lone Star, I presumed, and was most chuffed (for me and for them) when Freeman announced that it was indeed the young band.
