Little Richard Takes El's Advice

David Dalton, Rolling Stone, 4 March 1971

CLEVELAND – "I'm going to tell Elvis what you did for me, hear?" Richard whispers to the stewardess as she leans over to deposit two olives on his tray. Elvis has been a lot on Little Richard's mind recently, and it's on Elvis' advice that he has been recording with white groups in the past couple of months. Delaney and Bonnie, the Airplane, and Mylon have all cut sides with Richard.
