KRS ONE IS, to all intents and purposes, Boogie Down Productions, although his late partner, DJ Scott LaRock, still oversees his work, "despite what others might think". Katch 22 are one of Britain's foremost rap acts. Boom Bap sees the American rap veteran simply moving with the times, whereas Diary is a tirelessly inventive piece of work. Yet the KRS One album is the better record. Why?
