Kiss: Rock and Roll Over
Lester Bangs, Circus, 14 February 1977
LIKE MANY OTHER citizens of Lower Manhattan, I feel guilty. The reason I feel guilty is, however, not the same as the other 2,833,756 culpable parties in that sub-borough: I do not feel guilty because I am not Italian, or because I once dreamed of schtupping my mommy (she's too fat) when I should've been concentrating on Misty Beethoven, or because I don't attend the disco of my choice. My reason's by far direr than any of those noodle's purgatories — I badmouthed Kiss.
