Keith Washington: Make Time For Love (Qwest/Warner Bros 4-45336)

Jeff Lorez, Blues & Soul, 28 September 1993

THE FACT that, for me, the Maze chestnut, 'Before I Let Go', which is played by a live band, is the best cut on this album sums up much of my feeling towards the actual treatment of the songs on here. I do feel Keith is one of the better soul vocalists in an already packed US arena and the richness and diversity of his voice deserves warm, earthier rhythm tracks and instrumentation to help bring the songs over.
