I'D BEEN worried about Julian Cope. This nagging concern had started some four months ago, during one hot and humid night in New York City, the early hours of that morning having found Cope and this writer sat at a corner table in the air-conditioned chill of the Gramercy Park Hotel bar in midtown Manhattan.
