Johnny Cash: Back in Black

FOR 35 YEARS, he has begun every performance with the line, "Hello, I'm Johnny Cash", as if anyone needs telling. He greets people personally with the same line. In Hendersonville, Tennessee, the sky is heavy with black cloud, and Cash's attire matches the horizon. That he stands here today in his museum-cum- souvenir store is an extraordinary fact. Death and Johnny Cash, as he'll tell you, are old acquaintances.
