Jane's Addiction: Embassy Theatre, Los Angeles

Chris Roberts, Melody Maker, 14 January 1989

IN THE LARGER-than-life (and therefore, strictly speaking, lifesize) city of Zen yuppie angels and drive-by crucifixions, it is New Year's Eve. At nine Perry Farrell is getting changed (a multivalent event) so I'm chatting to his pet rooster, Pedro. Pedro reckons this is "gonna" be LA's night of the year. At 10.30 Perry, left leg in a cast, takes the stage with Jane's Addiction in the theatre where Bobby Kennedy was shot.
