Jackson Browne: Lives In The Balance (Asylum)

Jon Young, Musician, May 1986

JACKSON BROWNE is mad as hell. He's also a gentleman, which removes the sting from his expressions of outrage on Lives In The Balance. Although half the LP's eight tunes decry the state of the union under Ronald Reagan's leadership, Jackson's commentaries are too general to capture the moment effectively.
