UNBELIEVABLE AS it may seem, at 9:01 p.m. on the night of January 24, 1976, 10 minutes before Harold Melvin & the new Blue Notes were scheduled to hit the stage at the Felt Forum, there was still one girl in the audience whose wet dreams were not to be denied. In the lull between Blue Magic and the Blue Notes, she kept wailing plaintively, "Teddy, Teddy, Teddy, Teddy."
