THEY NEVER CAUGHT quite as much mainstream attention as other modern New York bands like the Strokes or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. But now, Interpol is evening the score. Tonight they headline no less storied a venue than Madison Square Garden, on a bill with another local fave, the Liars.
