Howlin' Wolf: Wolf Gathers His Flock In London

WHEN THE early 1960s gave birth to the R&B boom in Britain, it was artists like Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters that the Stones, Yardbirds and Bluesbreakers turned to as their great providers. At that time every record collection was fairly well spiced with Chess and Checker sides, and it was Wolf's 'Smokestack Lightnin'' that really spoke for everything.
