Imagine a cross between the Blue Orchids and Hamilton Bohannon, the Fall and the Fatback Band, James and JB. The wah-wah on ‘Freaky Dancin'‘ cues memories of both the Stooges' ‘Ann’ and Isaac Hayes' ‘Shaft’ simultaneously. I'd like them to take this hybrid further still, bring in a clavinet and some John Cale viola...
