IN 1980, Chicago was the centre of the anti-disco campaign that was, at that time, sweeping America. Two local DJs, Steve Dahl and Jerry Meier, who had recorded a spoof of Rod Stewart's 'Do You Think I'm Sexy?' called 'Do You Think I'm Disco?' held a ceremony in the Chicago White Sox baseball stadium where they burned what supposedly amounted to a million disco records.
