Glastonbury: It's a kind of magic

THE FIRST TIME I went to Glastonbury, I was 18. I drank a bottle and a half of Malibu a day, ran around barefoot trying to prove my hippie credentials, split open the sole of my foot on a tent-peg and had the wound washed out with whisky by the drummer from Rolf Harris's band.
